A Jonesville woman faces arraignment Friday on charges stemming from an apparent domestic incident that occurred Thursday evening.
According to a press release, Michigan State Police were dispatched to a Scipio Township home in response to an assault in progress. Scanner traffic indicated a gun may have been involved.
Troopers arrested 49-year-old Nichol Smith on one count of Felonious Assault. She was held in the Hillsdale County Jail without bond, Smith was due in Hillsdale County District Court on Friday afternoon.
Authorities have not released many details about the incident.
