Bull Rider Recovering After Sunday Incident

A bull rider is recovering after being injured in an incident during practice on Sunday afternoon.
Pittsford firefighters, along with Hudson Ambulance personnel, were dispatched to the Rebel V Ranch in the 6700 block of Tripp Road, around 1:40 pm. 
The facility was holding a bull riding practice session at the time. 
The rider was stepped on after jumping off the bull. 
He sustained a groin injury and was going in and out of consciousness due to apparent shock. 
Pittsford Assistant Chief Shawn Jones told WCSR News that responders were able to stabilize the patient. He was conscious and alert as he was loaded onto an ambulance and taken to Hillsdale Hospital. 
According to an update on social media, he underwent surgery to repair the injury. 
There’s no further word on his condition.
