City Council Approves Tax Incentive For High Tech Expansion

The Hillsdale City Council has approved a tax abatement for an expansion at a high-tech manufacturer in the industrial park.
Cobra Moto sought an abatement on more than $500,000 in renovations to a building at 250 Industrial Drive.
A spokesperson for the company, Sheena Sigler, said the building will be used for manufacturing high-tech drones. The move will initially involve fifteen new jobs. However, Sigler said that a developing partnership with another company could potentially increase the number of new jobs.
Assistant City Manager Sam Fry said expansion will create high-tech, high-paying jobs.
Council voted unanimously to approve the 12-year abatement.
Cobra Moto started as a manufacturer of small racing motorcycles. The company moved from Youngstown, Ohio, to Hillsdale back in 2006.
