Hillsdale College will host an art exhibit featuring emeritus Professor of Art Sam Knecht.
The exhibit titled “Looking for Light: Paintings by Sam Knecht” opens Friday at the Daughtrey Art Gallery in the Fine Arts Building. The show features recent landscapes and character portraits.
Works include scenes from Hillsdale, the Upper Peninsula, and Italy, created in watercolor, oil, and egg tempera. The exhibit also showcases pieces from Knecht’s early artistic career. An opening reception will be held on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
The exhibit will be available for viewing through November 21st.
