The owner of the Market House in Hillsdale & Hudson has addressed concerns about the possible sale of both stores. In a video posted to Facebook on Tuesday, Brett Boyd said he and his wife, Brandy, have made the “difficult decision” to list both stores for sale. Boyd said despite the listing, he remains committed to operating both businesses, pending a sale.
Boyd said a number of family members are involved in the running the business, and there’s a possibility it may remain in the family.
Meanwhile, Boyd said he is looking forward to retiring early enough to enjoy his retirement and spend more time with his family.
The Market House is celebrating its 85th year in business this year.
