Fall leaf collection is underway in the City of Jonesville.
The Department of Public Works will make several passes through the city in the coming weeks.
Leaves should be raked to the edge of the curb or shoulder of the street in piles. The collection schedule is dependent on factors such as the amount of leaves in an area and the weather.
Residents are urged to keep leaves away from storm sewer catch basins to prevent flooding. Additionally, items such as brush, twigs, rocks, walnuts, and concrete should be separated from leaf piles to avoid damage to the leaf vac.
The collection season is scheduled to end on November 17th. However, collection may be extended if necessary due to weather conditions.
