A Litchfield manufacturing facility was temporarily shut down after an electrical transformer malfunctioned and caught fire on Tuesday.
Litchfield Firefighters were dispatched to Jems of Litchfield around noon.
Chief Scott Skelly told WCSR News that the fire was contained to the transformer, wires, and an exterior wall of the building.
No injuries were reported. Crews were on the scene for about an hour, clearing just after one pm.
Skelly said the factory is shut down until Consumers Energy replaces the damaged transformer.
