November elections are less than two weeks away.
Some residents of Hillsdale County will head to the polls in November
4th to cast ballots on local races and proposals.
In the City of Hillsdale, two candidates are vying for a partial term as
mayor.
Councilman Matthew Bentley and former Mayor Scott Sessions are
seeking the position.
They were the top vote getters in an August runoff election.
In Wright Township, voters will decide on a proposal to adopt a new
1.925-mill property tax for 20 years, beginning in 2025. The levy aims
to generate an estimated $125,771 annually for road and bridge maintenance and improvements.
The Hanover-Horton School District has a proposal to renew its
sinking fund millage at .95 mill.
The renewal is aimed at sustaining funding for school property
purchases, security upgrades, technology, and other district needs through 2034.
The Hanover-Horton District includes portions of Moscow and Somerset Townships.
