There were no serious injuries in a school bus accident in
Algansee Township early Wednesday morning. The Branch
The County Sheriff’s Office responded around 7:00 am to a crash near
The intersection of Central and Bennett roads.
The bus, operated by Pansophia Academy, was eastbound on
Central Road when the driver moved over to make room for
oncoming traffic. The bus went off the road, slid into a ditch, and
hit a guardrail.
Deputies say the bus was carrying the driver and four students at
the time. All were evaluated and treated on scene by Lifecare
Ambulance and Quincy Fire Department personnel.
No serious injuries were reported.
Deputies were assisted by the Quincy Police Department,
Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Division, Branch County
Road Commission, Lifecare Ambulance, and Quincy Fire
Department.
The incident, which remains under investigation, was the third
crash involving a bus in the past week. It’s the second crash
involving a bus from Pansophia Academy, at that time.
