Administrators at Quincy Community Schools have outlined a $59.5 million bond proposal to upgrade district facilities.
During a public forum on Monday, Superintendent John Denny laid out the proposal, which may come before voters in May of next year.
The plan, which includes tearing down and replacing the nearly 95-year-old middle school, would also involve several million dollars in renovations to other buildings.
The school board is expected to decide next month whether to move forward with the plan, which would then be placed on the ballot for district voters to decide.
