November is National Diabetes Awareness Month.
With that in mind, Hillsdale Hospital will host a free diabetes education event on November 10th. The event will be held at the Three Meadows Medical Building and is open to everyone. Community members can walk in to get resources and learn how to manage diabetes. Providers will also be available for primary care visits by appointment.
There will be screenings for eye health and other services, including wound care, medical supplies, and home care.
Denise Lovinger, a dietitian and diabetes educator, will give tips on healthy eating. She’ll also share information about diabetes classes.
Hospital staff members will be on hand to assist with Medicaid applications.
