Quincy Police Chase Leads To Arrest

A man is in custody in Branch County, following a Monday police chase in Quincy Township. 
According to a press release from the Branch County Sheriff’s Department, the incident began when a caller reported that he was making deliveries when he became suspicious of an Orange Jeep Wrangler following him. 
The caller said the suspect, an older man, approached him in the driveway at 179 Castle Pine Drive before leaving toward Wildwood Road. Moments later, the suspect vehicle pulled over at Marble Lake Public Access, where deputies initiated a traffic stop.
Deputies identified Ronnie Marshall as the driver. Authorities suspected him of operating while intoxicated. When asked to exit the vehicle, he refused, then put the car in drive and fled. A short pursuit ensued, ending at a residence on Williams Drive, where deputies took Marshall into custody.
He faces charges including fleeing and eluding, third-offense operating while intoxicated, driving without a license, and transporting open intoxicants. Marshall was booked into the Branch County Jail. He has been arraigned on the charges. His bond was set at $25,000.
