Santa To Make Early Appearance In Tri State Area

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Instead of a sleigh, the Jolly One will be riding a train.

The Cameron Christmas Train returns to the tri-state area today through Saturday, with a schedule that’s packed with holiday cheer.

Powered by Cameron Health and supported by Cardinal Glass, Hillsdale Meijer, and Hillsdale College, the train is operated by the Indiana Northeastern Railroad, Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, and Little River Railroad. “

The schedule kicks off at 5:30 today. The train will depart from Edon, Ohio, bound for South Milford, Indiana.

The journey continues Friday with a ride from Pleasant Lake, Indiana, to Reading, including a stop in Montgomery!

The event wraps up Saturday with a trip from Hillsdale to Coldwater.

Also on Saturday, train enthusiasts can catch a glimpse of Little River’s famous steam locomotive, No. 110, as Santa makes a grand entrance.

Cameron Health CEO  Angie Logan said the event is a way to “blend history with holiday spirit.”

Families along the route will see Santa arrive by train. It’s also a chance to meet Santa’s helpers and receive gifts at each stop.
