State Officials Seeking Input On Senior Plan

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is inviting older residents to participate in Community Conversations and online surveys to help shape the state’s next aging plan.
The State Plan on Aging, developed under the Older Americans Act, will outline goals and strategies to improve services and support for Michigan’s more than 2.4 million seniors.
The plan aims to address gaps in programs and enhance the quality of life for older adults, their families, and caregivers.
Seniors can share their input through an online forum that is available at michigan.gov/mdhhs. The feedback will be used to shape a draft plan, which will be reviewed by the State’s Commission on Services to the Aging before being submitted to federal authorities in July 2026.
