Local students got an extended Thanksgiving weekend, as a snowstorm that caused headaches for travelers heading home forced the cancellation of classes at area schools this morning.
Officials cited questionable conditions on the back roads as the reason for closing today.
If you’re headed out today, go carefully; roads are snow-covered and slippery in some areas.
However, most of the main routes are open and clear.
More snow is in the forecast for Tuesday morning.
