A Somerset Center woman has been sentenced to nine months in jail, in connection with a September incident at Jonesville Elementary School.
37-year-old Stephanie Stidham appeared in Hillsdale County Circuit Court on Monday on charges of fleeing & eluding police, assaulting an officer, operating intoxicated, and having an open container in a vehicle.
She was arrested on September 30th, when school staff called 9-1-1 after detecting the smell of alcohol on her, as she picked up students.
She drove across the lawn to avoid the police before becoming blocked in by a bus loaded with students.
Stidham pled no contest to the charges in October.
She was given credit for 62 days she’s already served in jail.
