
Jackson College’s Hillsdale campus will offer some hands-on community workshops in 2026, providing opportunities for residents to learn new skills.
Workshops include “Photography Basics with Your Camera,” taught by April Messer. Class dates are February 5th and 12th. The class costs $75 and will cover fundamental photography techniques for beginners.
For those interested in beekeeping, Janet Tucker will lead several sessions in the fall of 2026. “Beekeeping Basics” is scheduled for September 22nd. The workshop will cover equipment, hive care, and regulations.
A workshop on “Setting Up an Apiary” will be held October 20th. The session will focus on establishing a first beehive.
A “Wax Rendering” workshop is scheduled for November 17th. Participants will learn methods for processing beeswax. Each of the beekeeping workshops costs $40.
All of the workshops are aimed at providing practical knowledge in a friendly, hands-on setting.
They’re designed for learners of all levels.
