
Three people were hospitalized following a Sunday afternoon crash involving a pickup truck and an Amish buggy in Camden Township.
Hillsdale County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 1:49 pm, to Mead Road north of West Territorial Road.
Accident investigators determined 31 year-old Jarret Wolford, of Montgomery, was driving a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Mead Road, when he struck a southbound Amish buggy.
The buggy was occupied by 32-year-old Henry Graber, 31-year-old Katheryn Graber, and five children, all of Montgomery.
Henry Graber was flown to Michigan Medicine, in Ann Arbor for treatment. One child was airlifted to Motts Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, and another child was taken by ambulance to Hillsdale Hospital.
The road was shut down for some time as the scene was cleaned up and investigated.
Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Michigan State Police, Montgomery Fire Department, Camden Fire Department, Steuben County EMS and Reading Emergency Unit ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation.
