wcsr-dale-news-header-2

Fayette Township officials have opted to move a pair of meetings to a larger venue after a planning commission meeting was postponed due to a lack of room for attendees.
The regularly-scheduled Fayette Township Board meeting on January 12th will be held at the Jonesville High School auditorium, beginning at 7:00 pm.
The postponed Planning Commission meeting has been moved to January 19th at 7:00 pm. That meeting will also be held in the Jonesville High School auditorium.
On Monday of this week, a large number of area residents flooded the township hall to attend a Planning Commission meeting, where a proposed large solar farm project was on the agenda. The meeting was postponed in compliance with the Open Meetings Act because there was not enough space to accommodate all those in attendance.
Ranger Power is working to develop a solar farm of over 1,300 acres in the township.
The company currently operates solar farms of several hundred acres in Fayette and Allen Townships.
