A former law enforcement officer who served in the cities of Hillsdale and Reading has died.
Jason Deck, of Bronson, died January 14th.
Deck graduated from Hillsdale High School and earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Kellogg Community College. He became the youngest police chief in Michigan while leading the Reading Police Department.
He ended his career as a sergeant with the Hillsdale City Police Department.
A memorial service for Jason Deck will be held Saturday, January 31st, at 3 p.m. at the Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
