MDHHS Seeks Rural Health Stakeholders For Advisory Council

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is looking for people to join an advisory council focused on improving health care in rural areas.
The Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Advisory Council will help guide a state program designed to strengthen rural health systems. The program aims to make it easier for people in smaller communities to get needed health services and ensure that care remains available long-term.
The Department of Health & Human Services is seeking leaders from community organizations, rural doctors and hospitals, mental health providers, social service agencies, local health departments, and residents of rural areas.
