Authorities say a Kinderhook woman was hospitalized after her vehicle overturned on the ice on Coldwater Lake on Wednesday.
Branch County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a location near the intersection of Centennial Road and Warren Road.
Deputies arrived to find a vehicle on its side on the ice
The driver, an 84-year-old woman from Kinderhook Township, was trapped inside.
Two deputies and a Michigan State Police trooper worked together to rescue her from the vehicle.
After being freed, the woman was taken by Life Care EMS to Insight Hospital for treatment. There’s no word on her condition.
The vehicle was successfully pulled from the ice.
Centennial Road ends at Warren Road, which runs along the shore of Coldwater Lake. Roads were snow-covered and slippery on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash remains under investigation.
