Fayette Township officials have opted to move their next regularly scheduled board meeting to the Jonesville High School Cafetorium in anticipation of a potentially large turnout.
They’ll meet on Monday at 7:00 pm.
Area residents and officials have turned out in large numbers to the most recent meetings of the Township Board and Planning Commission, as they voiced concerns and opposition to a proposed large solar installation.
Township Supervisor Nate Baker told WCSR News that Monday’s agenda does not contain any items regarding the solar project. However, the meeting was moved to the larger facility to be sure that there’s room for all who wish to attend.
The Planning Commission will hold a special meeting on Tuesday at 7:00 pm in Jonesville High School Cafetorium.
Commission members are expected to begin work on an ordinance governing renewable energy projects in the township
