Branch County authorities say a month-long investigation led to the arrest of a Coldwater Man, and the removal of a quantity of methamphetamine from the streets.
Branch County Sheriff Fred Blankenship announced that deputies arrested a 53-year-old man on Saturday.
The investigation began in January after deputies received tips that the man was dealing meth.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was arrested following a traffic stop. A search of his vehicle turned up packages of suspected methamphetamine. Deputies then obtained a search warrant for a home on Perkins Street.
During the search, law enforcement found more suspected drugs, evidence linked to drug sales, and several guns. The investigation continues, and the sheriff’s office plans to seek felony charges against the man, pending review by the prosecutor’s office.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Coldwater Police Department, their K-9 Unit, and Branch County Central Dispatch.
