The first candidate has officially announced a run for Mayor of Hillsdale.
Retired WCSR on-air personality Bob Flynn announced his candidacy at Monday’s City Council meeting.
Flynn, who currently serves as a councilmember in Ward 3, encouraged others to run for the seats that are up for election this year.
Along with a Mayor, city voters will elect one council member in each ward.
Flynn said Council has a number of important issues to tackle in the coming four years, including the ongoing struggle to fund infrastructure improvements, as well as naming a replacement for City Manager David Mackie.
April 20th is the deadline to file as a candidate for this year’s city election.
