
Authorities are working on their report of a vehicle-pedestrian crash that left a woman with serious injuries.
Hillsdale City Police were dispatched on Tuesday afternoon to the intersection of McCollum & Broad Streets in response to a crash involving a Hillsdale County utility vehicle.
Michigan State Police were dispatched to assist.
Authorities say the preliminary investigation indicated that a Hillsdale County Ford F-Series utility vehicle was westbound on McCollum Street when it turned southbound onto North Broad Street and struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian, an adult female whose age and hometown were not immediately released, sustained serious injuries. She was initially transported to Hillsdale Hospital for treatment and was airlifted to a Toledo-area hospital.
The intersection was closed for some time as the incident was investigated.
No further details have been released.
