A GoFundMe online fundraising account has been set up for a woman who was struck while crossing at a crosswalk in downtown Hillsdale on Tuesday afternoon.
Friends and family of Joni Norris say she was on her daily walk when she was struck by a pickup truck owned and operated by Hillsdale County.
Hillsdale City Police were dispatched to the intersection of McCollum & Broad Streets in response to the crash.
Michigan State Police were dispatched to assist.
Norris was transported to Hillsdale Hospital, then airlifted to a Toledo-area hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
The GoFundMe account, which aims to help raise funds to offset medical bills, had raised nearly $5,000 of its $6,500 goal by Wednesday evening.
