The Branch County Sheriff’s Department has released the names of those involved in a fatal traffic collision last week.
Deputies were dispatched to North Union City Road near Narrows Road around 12:45 pm Thursday. ,
They say 60-year-old Michael Coscarelly, of Coldwater, was southbound on a scooter when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 89-year-old Betty Ward, of Coldwater.
Coscarelly died at the scene.
Ward and a passenger in her vehicle were uninjured.
Investigators say weather conditions were a possible factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
