The Hillsdale County Board of Commissioners will hold its next meeting in Council Chambers at Hillsdale City Hall.
The announcement comes after a meeting scheduled for this week ended early due to overcrowding.
A number of area residents turned out Tuesday to voice their opposition to the Commissioners backing a bond for a new facility for Lifeways Community Mental Health, without a vote of the people.
The board room at the Hillsdale County Office Building was well over capacity, prompting concerns about a violation of the Open Meetings Act. After a tense exchange, the meeting was adjourned. While this week’s meeting will not be made up, officials announced on Thursday that the next regularly-scheduled meeting on March 24th will be held at 9:00 am, on the third floor of Hillsdale City Hall.
The venue was likely chosen because the room is already set up for live-streaming meetings on YouTube.
