Emergency Management To Offer SkyWarn Training

wcsr-dale-news-header-2
In the wake of last week’s fatal tornadoes in Michigan, the Hillsdale County Emergency Management Office is inviting the public to take part in a Skywarn® Weather Spotter training session.
The event, led by the National Weather Service, will take place from March 30th, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Hillsdale County MSU Extension Office at 20 Care Drive.
The training is open to the public, and registration is highly recommended.
Hillsdale County Emergency Management Director Jason Lautermilch said the session will offer a chance to learn how to spot severe weather and help keep the community safe.
Visit hillsdalecounty.gov for links to register or to get more information.
You can also visit the National Weather Service’s website at.weather.gov/iwx.

Next week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Michigan.
It’s a good time to plan ahead and learn how to stay safe during storms and other severe weather events.
