A Tuesday night chase through Coldwater landed a man in Jail. The Branch County Sheriff’s Office said deputies tried to pull over a car near Union City Road and State Street for a traffic stop, around 9:40 pm. The driver did not stop and led deputies on a chase through Coldwater.
The pursuit ended near the Virginia Manor Apartments. The driver was taken into custody without further problems. During the arrest, deputies found the driver, a 34-year-old Coldwater man, in possession of methamphetamine.
The man was booked into the Branch County Jail on several felony charges. The Coldwater Police Department assisted deputies during the incident.
