
With Spring comes some relief from prolonged drought conditions across the region.
Rain and snowmelt over the past couple of weeks have left the region closer to its normal moisture level.
According to the USDA’s updated Drought Monitor website, Hillsdale and Branch Counties have reached normal conditions.
That’s an improvement from moderate drought conditions that held on over the winter months.
Southeast Lenawee County remains abnormally dry, which is the lowest level of drought condition.
Portions of northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio continue to face dry conditions as well.
