The Fayette Township Planning Commission will reconvene on Thursday to continue a public hearing regarding Ranger Power’s proposed 1,350-acre solar project.
The meeting begins at 7:00 pm, in the Jonesville High School Cafetorium.
The hearing, which began on April 16th, was paused after 9:00 pm that night, due to the late hour.
Before the adjournment, a number of area residents voiced strong opposition to the project.
Officials say Thursday’s session will pick up exactly where the last one left off. The Planning Commission is expected to continue hearing public testimony before moving toward a potential vote on Ranger’s site plan.
Meanwhile, Monday’s regularly scheduled meeting of the Fayette Township board will be held at Spotts Gym at Jonesville Middle School. The change is being made because the High School Cafetorium will be in use for a school event on Monday.
