A 20-year-old Bronson man died Monday morning after the side-by-side utility vehicle he was riding in crashed in Camden Township.
Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the single-vehicle rollover crash on Alvord Road near Grant Road at around 11:10 am.
Their initial investigation showed that 20-year-old Carter Pish, of Bronson, and 19-year-old Carson Drumm, of Homer, were traveling northbound on Alvord Road in a Polaris RZR.
The vehicle left the road, striking several trees and rocks, before rolling over.
Pish was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency workers treated Drumm at the scene for his injuries. He was then flown by a University of Michigan Survival Flight helicopter to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson for further treatment.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Camden and Montgomery fire departments, the Reading Emergency Unit, and the medical examiner’s office.
The crash remains under investigation.
