As the region faces a summer blood shortage, Hillsdale Hospital will host a blood drive today.
The drive will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00, at Hillsdale United Brethren Church.
The drive is aimed at avoiding a critical blood shortage, which often occurs during the summer months, as donations decline.

Walk-in donors will also be accepted.
Donated blood is used to treat accident and trauma patients, those with certain chronic illnesses, and surgery patients.
One donor can save as many as three lives with a single donation.
