Hillsdale is gearing up to celebrate America’s 250th with a two-day community event.
The Stars & Stripes Celebration will feature a schedule of family-friendly activities, historical tributes, and traditional festivities. The event is dedicated to the memory of fallen Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Deputy William H. Butler Jr.
Festivities kick off Friday evening at the Hillsdale County Fairgrounds, beginning with a Cruise In Car Show from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Craft & Vendor Show and the Hillsdale County Historical Society Museum will be open to the public, while attendees can also enjoy food trucks, live entertainment, raffles, and a beer tent.
Independence Day features a full slate of activities transitioning from downtown Hillsdale back to the fairgrounds. The morning begins at 10:00 am, with a Time Capsule Ceremony at Hillsdale City Hall, followed by a Parade at 1:00 pm.
The fairgrounds gates open at 4:00 pm.
Activities will include a “Dunk-A-Deputy” dunk tank alongside the Great American Carnival, which features bounce houses and games.
The celebration will conclude with a massive fireworks display beginning at dusk.
