Authorities are continuing the investigation into a fatal stabbing that occurred Monday night at the Clemens meat processing plant in Coldwater.
Authorities say 21-year-old Brandon Velasquez Chavez died at the scene from a stab wound to his back. Police arrested his co-worker, 20-year-old Valmir Djempsley, who is being held at the Branch County Jail, on a charge of willful killing.
Investigators said the incident, which occurred around 7:45 pm, stemmed from a verbal dispute on the production line that quickly turned violent.
The Coldwater Department Police Department and Michigan State Police are heading the investigation,
