Several hundred Consumers Energy customers in Hillsdale and Branch Counties remained without power this morning, as crews worked to restore service following powerful storms that struck the region Friday.
Consumers Energy reported a handful of outages with 50 or more customers across the region as of 8:00 am. Meanwhile, a number of scattered outages affected smaller numbers in several areas.
Restoration of those remaining without power is expected to be complete by the end of the day Tuesday.
Nearly 400,000 Consumers Energy customers, along with a number of Hillsdale Board of Public Utilities customers, were knocked offline during the largest storm, which struck around 5:00 pm Friday.
The storm devastated trees, leaving roads blocked in a number of areas.
