Construction crews are scheduled to begin a lengthy pavement and culvert repair project on US-127 in Hillsdale County this week.
Crews working for the Michigan Department of Transportation will work on the stretch between Beecher Road and Day Road, just outside of Hudson.
To keep drivers and workers safe, one lane of the highway will be closed during the work.
Traffic flow will be managed by a temporary signal. Motorists should also expect occasional shoulder closures and should plan for travel delays in the area.
The $1.2 million project aims to improve overall safety on that section of the highway.
Work is scheduled to wrap up by September 25th.
