Two candidates will move on to face each other for the Ward Three Hillsdale City Council seat.
Amber Yoder and Matthew Kniffin were the top vote getters in a tight three-way race.
Yoder garnered 136 votes. Kniffin had 113. John Kast will NOT move on to the November general election after receiving just 95 votes.
Voters in the city will elect a council member in each of the four wards, along with a new mayor, in November.
Incumbent Gary Leininger won the Republican nomination to retain his seat as Hillsdale County Road Commissioner.
Wesley Wickham won the nomination to the seat currently held by Road Commissioner Kathy Schmitt. There were no Democratic candidates, which means the candidates will run unopposed in November, unless write-in candidates file with no party affiliation.
