Authorities say an Osseo man was one-of-two people killed in a four vehicle traffic crash in Washtenaw County Friday night.
Michigan State Police were dispatched around 7:30 pm, to Michigan Avenue and Willow Road.
They say a 56-year-old Brooklyn man was westbound in a Dodge Ram pickup, when he attempted to pass a semi-truck.
The pickup truck collided with an eastbound Jeep Cherokee that was driven by a 36-year-old woman from Tecumseh, who lost control and went off the roadway.
The Dodge Ram then sideswiped the semi-truck and re-entered the eastbound lane, where it collided head-on with a 2016 Chevy Silverado driven by a 43-year-old man from Osseo.
The Silverado driver and the Dodge Ram driver were pronounced dead at the scene. A 46-year-old woman from Osseo, who was a passenger in the Silverado, was critically injured and airlifted to the University of Michigan Hospital. The Jeep driver also sustained critical injuries and was transported to U-M, while her two children, ages two and five, suffered minor injuries.
The semi-truck driver, a 57-year-old man from Birmingham, Michigan was not seriously injured.
Authorities say alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
