As of Monday morning, Hillsdale County hunters have reported more than 1,100 deer have been taken since Saturday’s opening of the Firearm Deer Season!
According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ online reporting site, Hillsdale County hunters have reported 1,105 deer as of 7:00 am.
That number includes 764 bucks and 341 does.
Those numbers will increase, as hunters have 72 hours to report a successful harvest.
As of this morning, Michigan hunters have reported taking nearly 38,000 deer since the firearm season opener.
That number includes more than 28,000 bucks and nearly 10,000 antlerless.
Total statewide deer numbers, including archery and early deer seasons, are approaching 136,000 so far this year.
