CloudFlare Outage Disrupts Popular Internet Platforms

You may have noticed that some of your favorite websites and services were having issues this morning.
Officials with Cloudflare, a major web infrastructure company, reported that a global outage had disrupted access to key platforms, including X and ChatGPT.
The incident, which started around 6:40 this morning, affected about 20% of web traffic and prevented a large number of users from reaching some services.
The company deployed a fix, but some users may still experience issues as service recovery continues. Cloudflare’s network, one of the largest worldwide, helps websites load faster and protects them from traffic surges and cyberattacks.
The outage followed recent disruptions at Amazon’s cloud service last month, which caused widespread website outages globally.
According to Reuters, Cloudflare said the problem originated from unusual traffic to one of its services, causing errors in its network.
In a statement on the company’s X account, officials said staff members were “All hands on deck to make sure all traffic is served without errors.”
