The US12 Heritage Trail Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution celebrated outstanding high school seniors from Hillsdale and Branch Counties at their annual Good Citizens Recognition Ceremony.
The event was held on Sunday at the Coldwater Insight Conference Center. It honored graduating seniors who have demonstrated exceptional citizenship.
Twelve students received Good Citizen Certificates, pins, graduation honor cords, and gift cards. Among them are Heidi Gawronski from Camden Frontier High School, Landon York from Hillsdale High School, Georgia Whalen from Hillsdale Academy, and Abby Bills from Litchfield Schools.
Olivia Searls of Coldwater High School was awarded a $300 scholarship for her winning essay, which will now advance to state judging.
The ceremony included presentations by Junior Membership Chair Lindsey Clark and State Representative Jennifer Wortz.
