Friday Winds Cause Outages And Other Damage

The National Weather Service says strong winds that swept through the region on Friday hit speeds of 60 miles per hour locally.
The winds that buffeted parts of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana caused damage and power outages.
In Hillsdale and Branch County, winds knocked down trees and power lines.
In Ohio, particularly Van Wert County, wind speeds hit as high as 77 mph, with reports of semi-trucks overturned, power poles down, and buildings damaged.
Wind gusts reached 70 miles per hour in northern Indiana.
No serious injuries were reported.
Winds Sunday night into Monday morning caused further outages.
