Local art and music will be highlighted at a special event planned for later this month.
ArtWorks of Hillsdale County, in partnership with Women’s Life Insurance Chapter 741 and Arrow Swift Printing, will host “An Afternoon of the Arts” on Sunday, April 19.
The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Dawn Theater in downtown Hillsdale.
Admission is free.
The gathering will highlight the creative talents of local residents through a variety of exhibits and live entertainment.
Attendees can browse an art exhibit featuring works by local artists and photographers.
Much of the artwork on display will be available for purchase. The event also offers a rare look at the creative process with a live “Life Drawing” session.
The afternoon will also feature several live performances. The lineup includes local singers, dancers, and musicians.
And actors from the Sauk Theater will perform as well.
