A number of local Consumers Energy customers were without power this morning, following overnight thunderstorms.
Some of the strongest storms rolled through the region after 1:00 am, knocking down tree limbs and disrupting power.
A tornado warning was issued for the WCSR listening area around 1:15 am. There were no confirmed reports of a touchdown.
Branch, Calhoun, Jackson & Lenawee were hit much harder than Hillsdale County. Thousands of customers were knocked offline in other parts of southern Michigan.
Consumers Energy expected most of those affected locally to have their power restored by noon today.
