A former Hillsdale County resident will be sentenced next month on sexual assault charges that were filed a year ago.
58-year-old Kevin Murphy was initially charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct 2nd degree, involving victims under the age of 13.
He pleaded no contest on Monday to one of those counts.
Murphy was taken into custody in Kentucky back in March. The charges were filed in May 2025, following an investigation by Hillsdale City Police into accusations that Murphy assaulted two young victims.
He remains lodged in the Hillsdale County Jail as he awaits sentencing, which is set for June 29th.
