As the official start of summer nears, the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office has announced a free Boaters’ Safety Class for next month.
The class runs Saturday, June 13th, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the South Hillsdale Community Center, on Territorial Road.
It’s open to anyone 12 years old & up who is interested in learning about boater safety.
Successful participants will receive a Boater’s Safety Certificate.
A Certificate is required for those born after 1978 who want to operate a jet ski–and anyone born after June 30th, 1996 who wants to operate a boat.
Lunch will be provided by the Lake Diane Property Owners Association.
