Flood Watch Issued for Parts of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio

wcsr-dale-news-header-2
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the entire WCSR listening area through Wednesday  evening.
Forecasters warn that heavy rain could cause flooding in low-lying areas, along rivers, and in streams. The ground is already saturated, which means any new rainfall will stay on the surface, creating dangerous standing water or “runoff.”
Here are tips for dealing with possible flooding.
If you live in an area that floods easily, move valuable items to higher ground.
Never drive through a flooded area.:
Most flood-related deaths happen in cars. If you see water covering the road, turn around.
*Keep an eye on updated forecasts and be ready for official flood warnings.
